I was planning on taking a self imposed break from paranormal romance after I finished Dead Beautiful.  I wanted to take a break from them because I was feeling like every one of these books has the same kind of plot and it was getting a little dull for me.  I picked up this book because I thought it might be a little different.  First of all, it has a male protagonist.  Secondly the book is more of a supernatural book which I thought I might enjoy more than vampires or werewolves.  Sadly, this book just didn't do it for me.  Even though the book is told from Ethan's point of view, I felt like I really didn't get to know him very well.  Most of his thoughts seemed like they were centered on Lena and how perfect she is.  I also didn't really connect with Link which I surprised about because a lot of people really loved him.  The story line had potential with witches and voodoo, but the story really dragged for me.

I listened to this book up on audio, and one that that I really enjoyed was that this audio book had sound effects.  The 16 moons song that is mentioned throughout the book is sang as an actual song, and when Lena gets upset and the weather changes around her, you can hear thunder and rain. 

I don't think I will be picking up the next book in this series, my to read pile is so huge that I want to focus on some of the books that I'm really looking forward to.
